This spiced pumpkin jam tastes like autumn spread on toast and keeps through the winter. Perfect for breakfast, Thanksgiving celebrations and for cold days when you read a book inside and drink hot tea.
  • 2 kg fresh pumpkin puree
  • 2 kg sugar
  • 1 whole nutmeg, grated
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅔ tsp ground cloves
  • ⅔ tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  1. Mix pumpkin puree, sugar and spices in a large pot. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Stir regularly with a wooden spatula under consistency has thickened - about an hour.
  3. Store in jars (that you can sterilize) and let cool.
  4. Enjoy on toast or with cake.
